The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro has said that the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji has been favourable to Muslims in Ekiti.
Mrs Adubiaro said this in her remark at the Step down training of Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations of Nigeria(FOMWAN) National Conference which was held at the Central Mosque, Ado-Ekiti on Sunday. She applauded the Governor for the opportunity given to Muslims to serve at different positions in his administration.
She remarked further that Ekiti Muslims have not had it good like this before under previous administrations which shows the amount of love and respect the Governor has for Muslims.
“Since the inception of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration, we have not had a cause to regret our support for him. His administration has been favourable to us. Muslims have not had it so good like this before under previous administrations.
“We can point to number of Muslims that have been appointed to better positions by the Governor. Apart from commissioner and SSG’s positions that are occupied by Muslims, we have other positions like governing councils, Special Advisers Senior Special Assistants(SSA) and Special Assistants(SA) that were given to Muslims. According to information at my disposal, more appointments are still in pipeline for Muslims.
“When someone is doing well let’s say it. Our Governor is really trying for us. Though all our demands have not been met but I have belief that with time we are going to be pleased. What we need to do is to support our governor with prayer”
The SSG sued for peace, love and unity among FOMWAN members. She called on them to give the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji more support for him to succeed in office.
