Ekiti Tourism Bureau Takes NAWOJ on Cultural Tour

The Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development has hosted the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) on a 5 minutes cultural and tourism tour across various towns in Ekiti, showcasing the state’s natural, cultural, and tourism values.
During a courtesy visit to the Bureau’s Director General, Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre, NAWOJ Chairperson Mrs. Adewumi Ademiju praised the DG’s efforts in promoting Ekiti State’s cultural and tourism sector.
She commended the Bureau’s initiatives, saying, “As one of our veterans in the field of Journalism, Ekiti NAWOJ is proud of what you are doing in the Cultural and Tourism Sector in the state, and we are always encouraged to project your developmental activities.”
Mrs Ademiju also promised NAWOJ’s continued support and collaboration, stating, “We will continue to be part of the good things happening in the Bureau of Tourism Development and are ready for robust collaboration anytime the need arises.”
Ambassador Ojo-Lanre expressed his appreciation for NAWOJ’s promotion of the Bureau’s activities, highlighting the crucial role of journalism in shaping public perception and driving meaningful dialogue.
He emphasized the importance of unity and professionalism among journalists to showcase Ekiti’s beauty.
Ambassador Ojo-Lanre promised to collaborate with NAWOJ to promote tourism in Ekiti State, exploring various ways to work together.
Also speaking during the visit the Executive Secretary, Tourism Development, Mr Adegboyega Morakinyo emphasized the Bureau’s mandate to add value to culture and tourism in the state. The visit, he noted, was timely in creating a synergy between the Bureau and NAWOJ to project the government’s good works.
