… Ask Security Agents To Secure Release Of Abducted School Children

Yoruba Leaders of Thought (YLT) has condemned the murder of two traditional rulers in Ekiti by armed bandits.
It also described as unacceptable the abduction of unspecified number of schoolchildren by kidnappers at Emure. It asked security agents to rescued the abducted children with immediate effect.
In a statement on Tuesday by the National Secretary of the group, Mr Bayo Aina, the group comprised of notable Yoruba leaders said the killing of the traditional rulers has further revealed that no one is safe in the state.
It called on security agents to arrest the abductors of the school children and return the children to their families
While commiserating with the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji on the unfortunate incidents, the group under the leadership of the sage, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi said security agents must be up and doing to assure citizens of the safety of their lives and properties
It described as unacceptable the recurring incidents of kidnappings in the state, saying citizens cannot continue to live under perpetual fear for their lives.
Three traditional rulers in Ekiti state, the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olusola, Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Ona David Babatunde Ogunsakin and Alaba of Ara-Ekiti, Ona Adebayo Fatoba were ambushed by armed bandits on Monday on their return from a security meeting at Irele-Ekiti.
While the Alara of Ara escapes from the bandits, the two other traditional rulers, Onimojo and Elesun were killed by the armed bandits who attacked them at Oke-Ako area in Ikole Local Government Area of the state.
Also, on Monday unspecified number of schoolchildren and teachers of Apostolic Faith Nusery/Primary School were abducted by kidnappers at Emure Local Government Area of the state. They were taken in their school bus on their way to Eporo community in the local government area.
Meanwhile, the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has directed security agents to go after the abductors and killers of the traditional rulers.
