Why I Am Contesting For LCDA Chairman- Olaleye

Sequel to the lift on ban by Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission(ESIEC) on electoral campaign for the upcoming local government elections in Ekiti state, an APC stalwart and former Supervisor in Ado-Ekiti local government, Hon. Sunday Olaleye has indicated his interest to contest as LCDA Chairman, Ado Central.

In an interview with Heritagenewsng correspondent in Ado-Ekiti, yesterday afternoon, Hon. Olaleye said going by his experience and exposure, he is more qualified to be the number one occupant of the exalted seat of Chairman, Ado Central.

“My political experience and exposure is convincing enough to be considered as worthy and qualified to occupy the exalted seat of LCDA, Chairman, Ado Central”

When asked the reason why he is contesting for the chairmanship position he said, “I want to become the LCDA Chairman not to amass wealth for myself but to diligently and selflessly serve the people of Ado Central and compliment the various efforts of our leader and governor of Ekiti state, His Excellency, Dr John Kayode Fayemi towards grassroot development”

He furthered, “My intention is to bring about positive change in Ado Central and give the people a sense of belonging”

Hon. Olaleye gave kudos to the governor of Ekiti state for his outstanding performance in the last three years and by taking the right step at the right time with the creation of the new LCDAs.

“I want to use this medium to commend our indefatigable governor for his brilliant performance in office in the last three years.

He has shown it in words and action that he is a man that can be trusted with more greater task”

“I want to also commend him for taking the right step at the right time with the creation of the 19 LCDAs. He has shown that he is man of his words”

The aspirant also stated that he is one of the staunch supporters of govenor Fayemi having served in the past as Coordinator, JKF Keep Following and PRO JKF Frontier, a political movement in support of governor Fayemi during hisy second coming.

He added that he showed interest in Governor Fayemi because of his sterling qualities.

“Governor Fayemi is a person that I have great respect for. He is reliable and trustworthy which accounts for his outstanding performance”

He stated further that, against all odds he stood firmly in support of governor Fayemi during his second coming and still remain unshakable and committed towards his cause.

He added that this is a pay back time for his commitment, loyalty to JKF, and the party, APC.

Hon. Olaleye called on the people of Ado Central and leaders of APC to give him all the necessary support to emerge as Chairman, Ado Central LCDA.
