FIDA Ekiti, in collaboration with Ford Foundation, facilitated a leadership training for community women leaders in Ekiti state.
The project tagged ENHANCING LEADERSHIP ABILITIES OF COMMUNITY WOMEN LEADERS, took place in Ilawe Ekiti (14th -15th July) and Erinmope Ekiti (16th-17th July).
Fidans Mrs Foluke Oyeleye and Mrs Adefunke Anoma facilitated the trainings at Ilawe Ekiti while Mrs Modupe Aina and Lola Aluko facilitated the trainings at Erinmope.
The training covered the following core points :
– Self development for leadership.
– Communication skills for effective leadership.
– Influence and Persuasion in Leadership.
– Gender dimensions and strategies for implementing community driven goals.
The turn out of indigent women was impressive, with the women eager to learn and actively participating in the break out and interactive sessions.
