What You Need to Know About The IPP
1. It is the only utility-scale generating facility in Ekiti State, boosting the State’s energy availability by at least 2MW . This simply means that from the meager 8-10MW Ekiti gets from the national grid,with Ekiti IPP , we get additional 2MW which has a potential to increase by 5-10MW later .
2. As a combined generation/transmission/distribution initiative, it ensures reliable and adequate electricity supply to the areas outlined for delivery .
3. It frees the energy that would have been used by the outlined areas to other parts of Ado EKiti and the state at large .
4. It serves as a model for other utility-scale generation facilities that are needed to boost Ekiti’s energy total needs of at least 100MW.
