Udiroko festival: Falegan felicitates with Ewi, Ekiti people

The President and Founder of Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation,a non governmental charity organization in Ekiti,Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan has congratulated the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Dr Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, Ewi-in-Council and entire Ekiti indigenes on the occasion of the celebration of year 2025 Udiroko festival.

The Founder made this known through his Media Aide, Comrade Adewumi Francis and made available to journalists in Ado on Wednesday morning.

Falegan prayed for blissful and abundant reign for the monarch. He also wished all Ekiti indigenes many celebrations of the festival.

He commended Ewi for supporting and promoting tourism globally said, “Udiroko is a unique traditional festival that depicts the richness and value of Yoruba culture.”

The founder particularly commended Oba Adejugbe and his council on the fatherly and traditional roles demonstrated at ensuring that the rich Yoruba Cultural heritage is promoted during the festival.

The Ado Ekiti born Philanthropist said Udiroko is an annual traditional festival held in Ado Ekiti. It is usually a time for sons and daughters of the ancient town, home and abroad come together to pray for the development of their community while they also showcase their rich cultural heritage.

The yearly Udiroko festival would be held on Wednesday August. 20, 2025.
