Suspected Bandits In Military Camouflage Arrested By Security Force

Several suspected bandits who infiltrated the state of Lagos have been arrested by security forces.

The information available to Vanguard said the suspects, dressed in military camouflage and other gear, were handpicked from different parts of the state.

Several arrests were found to have been made by the Department of State Services, DSS, and the 81st Division of the Nigerian Army.

The commander- in- chief of the Nigerian Army’ s 81st Division, Major General Umar Musa, announced at a handover ceremony Tuesday that the division had captured many imitators while it was still the GOC’ s 81st Division.

While not saying whether they were bandits, he did reveal that the supplier of the copycat army camouflage had also been arrested.

In an interview with reporters at the 81st Division Headquarters in Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Major General Musa said: ” I don’ t remember how many copycats we caught.

” But we still have a lot of them. When we made the arrests we handed them over to the Nigerian Police for further investigation and prosecution as we do not have the power to prosecute.

” There is a suspect who has been at our location for a long time. He was also handed over to the DSS, which will investigate further and prosecute him. ” Nigerian custom also does a lot in this regard. “
