Oyebode: How Gov. Oyebanji Has Started To Deliver His Promise On Good Governance

The Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to Ekiti state Governor, Mr. Yinka Oyebode has said the state governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has started to deliver his campaign promise on good governance.

The governor’s aide while featuring on a radio program on Cruise FM this morning to discuss the first 100 days of BAO administration in office took time to highlight some major steps that has been taken by the present administration towards Ekiti development.

He stated further that the governor has within his 100 days in office brought governance closer to the people and embarked on massive rehabilitation of some deplorable roads in Ekiti state.

“Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has started to deliver his promises on good governance, agricultural development, rural and community development and road infrastructure. Within the last 100 days, the governor has brought governance closer to the people of Ekiti state.

“He has mobilized contractors to handle road maintenance under the ministry of works to sites across the states”

The Media Adviser stated that the governor has not relented on lighting up all streets and community projects across the state. He added that the Independent Power Project(IPP) is near completion. The project according to him will power Ekiti state secretariat, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital and other government establishments in the state.

The governor’s aide also gave hint on the step taken by the governor to empower youths and farmers across the state which include entering into partnership with various developmental partners.

Besides, he stated that the administration of Gov. Biodun Oyebanji has within 100 days in office provided road accessibility to rural dwellers and farmers in order to move farm products and goods to market centers with ease.

“The governor has not relented on lighting up all streets and community projects across the state. The people has started seeing positive results.

“The Independent Power Project(IPP) is near completion. This project will power Ekiti State Secretariat, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital and other government establishments in the state.

“In Agricultural sector, the governor has partnered various developmental partners in order to empower the youth and farmers across the state.

“The administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji has within his first 100 days in office provided road accessibility to rural dwellers and farmers in order to move farm products and goods to centers with ease”

Oyebode during the interview session spoke against the opinion expressed in some quarters that the State Cargo Airport is white elephant project. He clarified that the Airport has started attracting development to the state.

The governor’s media Adviser added that very soon Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Custom Service and other federal agencies and parastals will construction of base in Ekiti state International Airport.

“The Ekiti state international Airport being embarked upon by the immediate former governor of Ekiti state, His Excellency, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi is not white elephant project. The Airport has started facilitating development to Ekiti state. The Nigeria Airforce will soon start construction of Airforce base in the Airport.

“In couple of days, the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Custom Service and other federal agencies and parastatals will commence construction of base in Ekiti state international airport.
