The testimonies of family members and associates at the wake keep of late Patrick Oladipupo Fagbohun in Ogotun Ekiti on Thursday, August 7th, 2025 was emotional as those who spoke extolled his good deeds.

Late Patrick Fagbohun a retired Principal, and former Education Secretary in 1999 – 2003 at Ekiti South West Local Government died after a brief illness and was survived by wife, children and grandchildren.

In his sermon, Bishop Roland Oyebode, the Bishop of Western Vicarate of the Old Catholic Apostolic Church in Nigeria told the congregation at Ogotun Ekiti that death is a must for all flesh.

“for sure everybody will including me and you will die one day”

The cleric said he was particularly challenged by the outpouring of goodwill and testimony of the good life lived by Late Patrick Fagbohun.

The Bishop also pointed out a very touching memory of Mr. Patrick’s last moment at the hospital which he considered as a great opportunity which is not common whenever it is time to be called home.

He noted that he was touched when Superintendent Tolulope, his first child was giving testimony of her father’s last time in life, that he had the opportunity to correct all irregularities and imbalances within his family and confessed to have Saw Heaven before he died.

The Man of God said, not many people could be lucky to correct things and saw heaven before they died like Mr Patrick because many people’s death will just come suddenly maybe through accident or any other form, and such would not have the opportunity of correcting anything like the opportunity that he had .

He called on the congregation to always be prepared to go to heaven whenever their own death comes knocking which no one could know exactly, he added that many people would die and go to heaven or vice -versa

you children should just let me go and rest , because I have seen heaven and I am in peace with the Lord.

“I want to thank God that we were able to take care of him and made sure he was alright before he died, I believe it was God himself who called him, so we are not here to mourn but to celebrate his life. My father lived a glorious life and died as a Galant. I give glory to God for his life well spent”He added.

The Bishop of the African and Nigeria Diocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Bishop Oluwaseun Fagbohun was all through the time of the service emotional as he struggled to keep the tears.

Many other loved ones, sympathisers, Church members , families and friends from far and near were in attendance at the wake keep.
