Just In! Com. Sola Adigun From Ekiti Emerges, ASUSS’ National President
Com Sola Adigun has now emerged the National President of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools Nigeria.
The Chairman of the Trade Union Congress Ekiti State chapter, Comrade Sola Adigun has been sworn in as the national President of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS Nigeria.

He was inaugurated along 11 other members holding different positions and forming the National Administrative Council.
The inauguration followed their unanimous election by the National Delegates Conference of ASUSS held at the Green Minds Hotel, Utako Abuja.
In his acceptance speech after the election, the new President, Comrade Sola Adigun challenged secondary schools teachers in Nigeria to exercise their freedom of association by supporting ASUSS for the protection of rights which are peculiar to the secondary school sector alone.
He charged members of the Union to shun conducts that could divide their ranks.
“This is ASUSS—the hope of the Nigerian teaching profession. We must not import into our union the divisiveness and politics that have weakened our nation.

“It is time for every state chapter to show absolute loyalty and unwavering commitment to the national body. A weak national leadership is a reflection of weak grassroots commitment. Our strength must be collective.”
He is the first union leader of Ekiti origin to occupy the highest office of their union. Congratulations
