Just In! BEDC Reverses Band A Charge in Ekiti: EKSERB urges residents to report billing concerns

In a swift response to a complaint lodged yesterday by the Erinmope community, BEDC Management in Ekiti State has reversed the Band A-like N241.84/kwh tariff charged a few days ago rather than the N77.60/ kwh charged in March 2024.

This was after the Community had vended N100,000 each time and noticed 875.1 units (kilowatt-hours) of electricity difference.

BEDC acknowledged the error immediately and has refunded the community with a token of appropriate amount to be used to vend immediately to make up the difference.

EKSERB urges Ekiti residents to be vigilant as they monitor their electricity bills going forward and to make the best efficient use of an otherwise inadequate electricity supply.

On the part of Government, it continues to plan for ways to increase generation. transmission and distribution in all parts of the state, and to ensure that all citizens are treated fairly and guard electricity assets jealously.
