Hon. Olusola Fatoba, Member representing Ado/Ifelodun Federal Constituency, has warmly congratulated and commended the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the appointment of Prof. Modupe Adeola Adelabu as the Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Examinations Council (NECO).
Hon. Fatoba described the appointment as a strategic and well-deserved recognition of Prof. Adelabu’s decades of commitment to educational excellence, public service, and national development.
According to him, Prof. Adelabu’s distinguished career as an accomplished academic, seasoned administrator, and former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State reflects the depth of experience and integrity required to reposition critical institutions within Nigeria’s education sector.
He further noted that her previous leadership roles, including her impactful tenure in national education governance, have consistently demonstrated her capacity to deliver reforms, strengthen institutional frameworks, and drive innovation in the sector.
“Prof. Modupe Adelabu is a woman of proven competence, loyalty, and exceptional capacity. Her appointment is not only a testament to her personal achievements but also a clear indication of President Tinubu’s commitment to placing capable and experienced hands in positions of national importance,” Hon. Fatoba stated.
The lawmaker also extended appreciation to the Governor of Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, and the Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, for their continued dedication to promoting Ekiti indigenes in positions of national relevance and for their collaborative efforts in strengthening representation and leadership from the state.
Hon. Fatoba expressed confidence that under her leadership, NECO will witness renewed direction, enhanced credibility, and improved service delivery in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.
He also reaffirmed his loyalty and support for the administration of President Tinubu, emphasizing that such appointments continue to inspire confidence in the government’s resolve to strengthen institutions and deliver meaningful progress across all sectors.
He urged stakeholders in the education sector to rally behind Prof. Adelabu in order to achieve sustained reforms and improved outcomes for Nigerian students.
