The Alaafin of Oyo , Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III , yesterday 10th. April. 2022 received the Oluwo of Iwoland , Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi in his palace.
Accompanied with his chiefs and princes , Oluwo disclosed the visitation as necessary to have a good interactive with Alaafin , whom he described as a worthy father.
Amid controversies over constant rejection of Orisa worship by the Oluwo of Iwo , the king of Oyo , Iku Baba Yeye , ignored possible criticisms from Traditional rulers and Orisa practitioners in Yoruba land , the king welcomed the paramount king of Iwoland in grand style .
Oluwo was received in the palace with drums , dances , praises . It was historic as the king introduced his chiefs and princes to the Alaafin of Oyo , he sat and discussed the way forward in Yoruba land with Alaafin.
Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi has been criticized by Yoruba traditionalists over his constant rejection of Orisas.
