Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji has reiterated his support towards the Christian Elders in the state who are always interceding in prayers for him, his household, cabinet members and for the progress of the state.
The Governor stated this at the grand finale of universal week of prayer themed divine intervention in the lives of His people’ the 3rd edition held today at the Lady Jibowu Hall government house Ado Ekiti, organized by the state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in collaboration with the state government.
Governor Oyebanji who was represented by the state government chapel chaplain, Pastor Segun Awolumate appreciated the Christian Elders for their spiritual commitment towards the development of the state, assured them of his support.
Also speaking, the Director General Office of Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso Omotosho admonished everyone to always pray for governor’s administration.
On his part, the state CAN Chairman who doubles as State Chairman Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, His Eminence Rev’d Dr Emmanuel Aribasoye appreciated God for always answering the prayers of His people, explaining that the Christian Elders always start the year with prayers in all CAN zones, town and local governments and crown it with the state government for the spiritual journey of the new year.
Rev’d Dr Aribasoye urged everyone to always maintain peace and that the government should prioritize the welfarism of its people.
Earlier in his sermon, the Archbishop of Anglican Church Ekiti State Province and Diocese, The Most Rev’d Dr Joseph Ayoko expressed satisfaction about the turn out of christians in the state, assuring them of God’s capabilities of delivering them from their battles.
One of the royal dignitaries present, Owa of Odo Ayedun His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Ajibade Ajigbotoluwa 1st believed that all the prayers offered have been answered by God.
