Falegan Promises To Engage Ekiti Youth in Mechanized Agriculture

The Accord Party Governorship Candidate in the 2026 Ekiti State Governorship Election,Hon Opeyemi David Falegan has promised to involved and engaged Ekiti Youth in Mechanized Agriculture to boost the economy and food security in the state.

Falegan said involving and engaging Ekiti youth in mechanized agriculture will be a great way to boost the state’s economy and create jobs, adding that, mechanized agriculture will increase productivity, efficiency, and profitability, making farming a more attractive career option for young people.

According to him, some potential benefits of involving youth in mechanized agriculture include:
– *Job creation*: Mechanized farming can create employment opportunities in areas like equipment operation, maintenance, and management.

The Accord Party Governorship Hopeful added that ,modern farming techniques can lead to higher yields and improved food security.

Hon Falegan said Agriculture is a key sector that can drive economic development and growth in Ekiti State

To make this a success, Falegan promised he will consider:
– *Training and capacity building and Providing young farmers with skills and knowledge on modern farming techniques and equipment operation
Also he promised the youth-
Access to funding and resources*: Offering loans, grants, or subsidies to support young farmers in acquiring equipment and inputs.

He also promised connecting young farmers with markets and buyers to ensure a stable income stream.
