Management of Venite University, Iloro-Ekiti, has intensified its drive for academic excellence and institutional capacity building with a strategic working visit to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, aimed at strengthening collaboration in teaching, research, and innovation.
The visit underscores Venite University’s commitment to leveraging established academic institutions to enhance curriculum development, faculty exchange, and research output across key disciplines.
Receiving the delegation, the Vice Chancellor of OAU, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire, welcomed the initiative and commended Venite University for taking deliberate steps toward building a strong academic foundation through partnership and mentorship.
Leading the delegation, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Professor Olabisi Aina, described the engagement as a critical step in aligning Venite University’s academic structure with global best practices.
She noted that the relationship with OAU—recognized as Venite University’s mentor institution by the National Universities Commission—remains vital in shaping the university’s academic direction and institutional growth.
Professor Aina further emphasized that the visit was focused on practical academic cooperation, particularly in strengthening research capacity, improving teaching methodologies, and expanding opportunities for staff and student development.
The engagement reflects Venite University’s broader vision of building a knowledge-driven institution anchored on innovation, academic excellence, and strategic partnerships with leading universities in Nigeria and beyond.
