Ekiti State Hosts Courtesy Visit from NSCDC Commandant-General

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has received a delegation from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) led by the Commandant-General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, in a significant show of collaboration between the state and federal security agencies.

The Governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, received the delegation in her office on behalf of the governor, who was unavoidably engaged elsewhere.

The courtesy visit, initiated by Prof. Audi, provided an avenue to strengthen the working relationship between Ekiti State and the NSCDC. Both parties emphasized their shared commitment to public safety, community resilience, and proactive security planning across the state.

In her remarks, Prof. Adubiaro conveyed the governor’s appreciation for the NSCDC’s continuous efforts in safeguarding lives and property in Ekiti. She reaffirmed the state government’s readiness to support the agency’s operations, particularly in rural areas and vulnerable communities.

Responding, Prof. Audi expressed gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for his administration’s cooperation with federal security agencies. He highlighted the NSCDC’s strategic role in internal security, disaster management, and civil protection, while pledging deeper collaboration with the state government to ensure prompt response to security challenges.

The visit marks a renewed commitment to strengthening state-federal cooperation in the pursuit of safety, peace, and effective governance in Ekiti State.
