The Secretary to Ekiti State Government (SSG), Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, has called on health professionals in the state to intensify efforts towards supporting and promoting the healthcare initiatives of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Prof. Adubiaro made the call while playing host to some health workers under the aegis of Ekiti State Health Professionals Group , in her office Ado-Ekiti.
She emphasized the importance of public health and commended the Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to making Ekiti one of the States with the most impressive health indices in the country
“The Governor remains committed to the well-being of every citizen, and he will never take issues pertaining to the health of Ekiti people lightly,” she stated.
The State Scribe further highlighted the government’s recent strides in the sector, including the increase in subventions to tertiary institutions especially the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti and the timely approval of some allowances for health workers by Governor Oyebanji.
Prof. Adubiaro expressed her delight at seeing individuals voluntarily championing the Governor’s efforts without expecting any pecuniary gains.
“I am particularly happy to see people voluntarily showcasing and promoting the good work of Mr. Governor,” she added.
The SSG also pledged her support for upcoming sensitization programs organized by the health professionals, aimed at raising awareness among Ekiti residents about the Governor’s achievements in the health sector.
Earlier on his remarks during the visit, the coordinator of the Ekiti State Health Professionals Comrade Cornelius Makanjuola
, reiterated the group’s commitment to complementing the state government’s efforts.
“Our theme is unity in service — to come together and support the work of the Governor, especially in the health sector,” he said.
Makanjuola explained that health workers serve as key links to the grassroots through their community-based healthcare services stressing that the group plans to embark on a massive statewide sensitization to inform the public of the Governor’s developmental strides.

“We want the government to be aware of our activities and to know that we are ready to use our platform to spread awareness of the Governor’s good works,” he noted.
Quoting a Yoruba adage, Makanjuola added, “Ti awo ba kì fun ni, a máa kì fún awo ni” — meaning that kindness must be reciprocated. “The Governor has done well, and it is our duty to let the people know,” he concluded.
