Wednesday October 27 was all about the chairman, Ekiti State Sports Council, Hon.Mrs Olusola Osetoba as she commemorated six months in office with a couple of programs.
Chairman, Ekiti State Sports Council, Hon. Mrs Olusola Osetoba has treated the young athletes who won medalis for Ekiti state at the recently concluded National Youth Games in Ilorin, Kwara state to a get together party.

At the event held at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium in Ado, she thanked God for His mercy and gifts which led to 16th place finish on the medals table at the 2021 National Youth Games , a feat that surpassed the 29th place that Ekiti state occupied at the 2020 edition.
She said the get together was in appreciation of the impressive performances and good behaviour exhibited by the young athletes at the national sporting fiesta.
The Sports Council boss also said the good results would not have been possible without the cooperation of the General Manager, Mr Adekunle Adeyemi, the Management team, organizers and the coaches who worked assiduously to ensure everything went well despite some challenges prior and during the games.
On his path, the General Manager, Mr Adekunle Adeyemi said the chairman’s passion and open door policy had tremendously helped Team Ekiti and Ekiti State Sports Council in all ramifications.
Mr Adeyemi who lauded the support of the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi also promised the continued cooperation of the Management and staff of the Sports Council adding that the Management will emulate the kind gesture of the chairman by also hosting the athletes soon.
The coaches through their spokesperson, Mr Omo-Oba whose athlete was also a medalist in weightlifting described the hosting as first of its kind by a Sports Council boss urging Mrs Osetoba to keep up the good works.

The athletes who dined and danced with the Sports Council chairman also prayed and eulogised the motherly support of Mrs Osetoba and the Management of the Sports Council with an assurance of better performance in subsequent tournaments
Some Board members of the Sports Council including Mr Tanwa Oyebode, Mr Samuel Dada, Mrs Bimpe Adeleke and Mrs Kehinde Olanipekun who were all in attendance spoke glowingly about the virtues and passion of the chairman with a promise to keep supporting her.
