Ekiti Speaker Aribasoye Hosts Muslim Faithful, Urges Continued Devotion

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Stephen Aribasoye, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to sustain the virtues of discipline, sacrifice and devotion imbibed during the holy month.

In a statement marking the occasion, Aribasoye described Ramadan as a period of deep reflection, self-restraint and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence and service to humanity, noting that the lessons of the season remain critical to building a more united and progressive society.

He said the spiritual exercise underscores the importance of patience and steadfastness, adding that the endurance demonstrated by Muslims over the past thirty days serves as a reminder that challenges can be overcome with faith and determination.

Quoting from the Qur’an, the Speaker stated, “Indeed, with hardship comes ease,” stressing that the message reflects the strength found in perseverance and unwavering belief.

Aribasoye also highlighted his engagement with Muslim leaders and faithful during the period, revealing that he hosted several groups across communities in the spirit of fellowship and support for the less privileged.

According to him, such interactions reinforce the shared values of compassion, unity and collective responsibility needed to foster harmony and development in the state.

He, therefore, called on Muslims and all residents to carry forward the lessons of Ramadan into their daily lives, working together to promote peace, progress and sustainable development in Ekiti State.
