Ekiti Government Should Pay Workers 13th Month Salary

The Accord Party Governorship Candidate for 2026 Ekiti State Election, Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan has called on Ekiti State incumbent Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to pay the state workers their 13th month salary as a reward for their diligent and commitment to duty .

He made the call in a statement issue by himself and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti yesterday.

According to him, Oyo and Osun states paid their workers 13th month salary.

Falegan assured workers that if his elected in 2026, his administration will pay the 13th month salary to workers , noting that workers will receive the payment before December 24th.

Meanwhile the governorship candidate of Accord party in Ekiti State,Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan has felicitated Ekiti people as they celebrate the Yuletide, with the promise they would experience “real merry Christmas” when he becomes governor in 2026

Hon. Falegan, in his Christmas message to Ekiti People through his Media Aide Comrade Adewumi Francis Adewumi entitled “Gloom will give way to joy in 2026”, said the State would be rescued from the grip of bad leaders just like Christ came and redeemed the world from sinfulness.

“The despair and abject loss of faith in governance will definitely expire with the present APC government and going forward Ekiti will never again be saddled with the burden of ravenous locusts disguised as leaders,” he said.

He regretted that Ekiti have been celebrating Christmas over the years without the accompanying joy and happiness due to the ineptitude leadership foisted on the state, which he said gets worse as the days go by.

The Accord gubernatorial candidate said it was unfortunate that like in previous years, Ekiti workers and pensioners are celebrating 2025 yuletide season with gnashing of teeth following the tight economy development in Ekiti.
