Ekiti members of Electrical/ Electronics Rewinder Mechanical Technicians Association (EERMTA) have applauded Governor Biodun Oyebanji For his magnanimity towards the Association and for the way he has been piloting affairs of the state.
The State Chairman of the EERMTA, Engr. Owolabi Paul Sunday who stated this immediately after receiving a letter from the Governor office on Tuesday requesting the leadership of the Association to recommend members of the Association for immediate employment in construction companies in the state .
In a letter from the office of the Governor, Director General, Local Content, dated September 3, 2024, and signed by Tope Fashoyin for the Director -General, Ekiti state Bureau of Local Content, Governor Oyebanji gave approval the association to be considered for the opportunities in the state.
The letter reads:
“I am directed to humbly request your Association to furnish the Office of Director-General, Ekiti State Bureau of Local Content with the following information of all members of Association of Electrical Rewinding across all the 16 Local Government areas and 19 Local Council Development Areas of the State.
“This request is Imperative in order to consider them for employment opportunities required by some major Construction Companies executing Government and Non Government Contracts/Projects in the State.
“With respect to this therefore, the following information should be noted:
“a. The requested and interested Artisan will be tested according to the Company’s established employment requirements and only Artisan that meet the requirements will be considered for employment.
“b. There is an established salary scale for every designation and they will be made an offer according to the above requirement in (1) and according to the established salary scale.
“There is no opportunity to hire casual workers at any point and in the course of employment.
“d. Provide NIN Slip, BVN Bio-data page, 2 passport photographs and photocopies of Guarantor’s Identity Card as part of employment requirements.www.ekitistate.gov.ng”.
Engr. Owolabi who expressed appreciation to the Governor for the gesture pointed out that It would amount to ingratitude if the association failed to show appreciation openly.
The EERMTA’s state chairman who praised Governor Oyebanji for the gesture noted that it is is always good to praise your benefactor for him to be encouraged to do more, added” Yin ni Yin ni ka tun le se mii, truth be told the Governor’s gesture is commendable.
“I will also like to appreciate him for good governance in Ekiti and particularly his hand of fellowship towards we artisan in Ekiti
“The Governor has done a lot mostly in term of financial empowerment, for your information, as I’m talking here efforts is on going on technical advancement training towards our profession, Courtesy our Governor”. Owolabi added.
