Former acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Hon. Mrs Kemisola Olaleye, has assured women in Ekiti North of government support and assistance at all times.
Olaleye gave the assurance at Oye-Ekiti on Thursday, while hosting women politicans drawn from the 56 wards making up the Senatorial district.
The party leader solicited the support of women across the district for the victory of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in his governorship ambition, describing him as saying the best of all the aspirants.
She lauded the leadership style of Oyebanji to commoners, especially in his developmental who can take over the baton from Governor Kayode Fayemi-led administration
Olaleye admonished the women to see Oyebanji governorship ambition as a long standing committment filled with passion and dedication to develop the State, and deliver the dividends of democracy to party members.
“For the benefit of all of us, you must stay proactive and give Oyebanji full support and votes as valid delegates in January 27 primary election which will spur benefits without any regrets and loss of confidence.
“Oyebanji is a credible assest for the party and State at large, a loyal, tested and trusted homeboy and party man who has strive and serve the State in various positions as public servant for 11years under Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo and Governor Fayemi.
“His outright committment and performance as Secretary to the Committee for the Creation of Ekiti spur to his highest attained position as the Secretary to the State Government of the State.
“He diligently perfomed well giving rise to the people in downtrodden and supported party men and women one way or the other before accepting the clarion calls by numerous Ekiti indigenes to contest the 2022 gubernatorial election.
Olaleye, who hails from Ekiti North senatorial district, urged the politicans not to compromise those sugarcoated aspirants who seek their support during election time, only to abandon them thereafter.
“Your steadfast, resilience and more of support for the party is panacea to women development in governance.”
The former acting state party chairman extolled Fayemi’s legacies in governance with emphasis to women development with the support of his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi watch.
She listed those that have expressed support for the gubernatorial ambition of Oyebanji to include: Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi, two House of Representatives members Hon. Peter Owolabi and Ibrahim Kunle Olarewaju, Hon. Akin Oyebode, who’s one of BAO frontier and host of others that are of people oriented and driven support.
She identified Governor Fayemi-led administration delivery of dividends of democracy to the people as the best to have happen to the people of the state.
“Governor Kayode Fayemi’s performance in office will sure pave way for Oyebanji clear victory in the January 22 primaries and during the June 18 general elections.
The women, who assured Hon. Kemisola Olaleye of their cooperation, support and utmost loyalty and the sponsor of the stakeholders meeting, Hon. Akin Oyebode, one of Oyebanji brothers from Ikole-Ekiti in Ekiti North senatorial district.
They assured the duo of Olaleye and Oyebode of the party’s preferred aspirant, Oyebanji’s victory in the coming primary election of the State because they’ve seen light of hope in his ambition.
The State APC Women Leader, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye, Hon. Mrs Moji Fafure, former Commisioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Oluremi Ajayi Babinton among others are dignitaries present at the meeting.
