The House of Representatives member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Chairman House committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve has enjoined Muslims to embrace the spirit of oneness and sacrifice which is one of the important lessons learnt in the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.
Fatoba in a statement through his media unit in Ado-Ekiti urged the adherent of Islamic faith to join hands together during this challenging time, noting that there is always a light at the end of every tunnel.
He stated further that Muslims should see any pain they undergo as a form of their own selfless sacrifice and a test to their faith.
The House Committee Chairman while felicitating with Muslim community in his constituency on the celebration of this year’s Sallah showed his profound appreciation for their total support and prayer which has contributed in no small measure to his success in office. He also thanked them for their unwavering support for the state Governor and the President of Nigeria.
Hon. Fatoba called on Muslims to use the period of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for the peace and progress of Ekiti state and Nigeria as a whole.
“It is my heartfelt pleasure to rejoice with Muslims in Ekiti state and Nigeria as a whole for witnessing another period of Eid-el-Kabir. As we are in festive mood, it is important for us to embrace the spirit of oneness and sacrifice, show love to one another and seek Allah’s divine intervention to overcome the current challenges we are facing in our country. I pray that God accept our supplications on this day of Eid. Happy celebration” said Fatoba.
