Crime: Police Begin Manhunt For Thugs Loyal To Ekiti PDP Reps
Ido-Ekiti police command have begun manhunt for thugs loyal to Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2, Mr Babatunde Samuel Ajayi popularly known as T-Cash for alleged possession of firearms.
The police manhunt was sequel to petition written by some concerned citizens of Ekiti state which was addressed to the D.P.O of Ido-Ekiti police command and copied to the Executive Governor of Ekiti, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Chairman APC, Ekiti State, Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State, Area Commander Ido, Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, Ekiti state Commandant, Civil defense corps, Co 33 Brigade Owena Barracks, Akure.
Executive Chairman Ido/Osi local government.
The thugs which were known by their nicknames as, Akube, Poison and Chess boy reportedly ran away from police custody in Ido-Ekiti after being caught with guns in a battle at Komt hotel, Ido-Ekiti on Saturday, 28th February, 2023.
As at the time of filling this report, the whereabout of this thugs are still unknown.
Recall that sometimes last month, a brother to the PDP Reps candidate, T-Cash was arrested for armed robbery whose case is still ongoing.
