‎Ojuawo, who currently serves as the President of the Medical and Health CDS Group in Akure South, emphasized the importance of community-based healthcare interventions. He noted that the outreach was conceived as a way of giving back to society and addressing oral health challenges among residents.

‎The event recorded significant participation, with over 100 beneficiaries receiving free dental care. Beneficiaries included students of the College of Health Technology, as well as residents from Oda Road, Shitu, Mayowa, Ijoka, Oba-Ile, and other parts of Akure.

‎Speaking after the event, Ojuawo expressed gratitude to God for the successful execution of the project. He reiterated that community development is a collective responsibility and stressed the need for individuals to contribute positively to society during and beyond their service year as we can not all depend on government intervention alone.

‎In her remarks, the NYSC Local Government Inspector for Akure South, Dr. Mrs. Oluwafunbi, commended the initiative and praised Ojuawo for his dedication and selfless service. She described the outreach as impactful and noted that such efforts significantly improve access to healthcare at the grassroots level. She also applauded members of the Medical and Health CDS Group for their consistency in delivering meaningful projects.

‎One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oyekan, lauded the corps member for his compassion and commitment. She described him as a dedicated individual known for his service-oriented approach, particularly in his role at the Hospital Management Board Headquarters in Akure.

‎The event also attracted the presence and support of the Students’ Union Government of the College of Health Technology, alongside representatives of NAHIMS Southwest, including former president Comrade Mayowa. In his remarks, Comrade Adedayo Mayowa described Ojuawo as a passionate and disciplined leader, recalling his past roles and contributions, including his service as Chief Security Officer during his tenure and his leadership qualities demonstrated during his academic years as the class Representative at University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital kwara state.

‎The outreach was supported by Colgate, which provided toothpaste distributed to beneficiaries after treatment, further promoting oral hygiene awareness.

‎Ojuawo extended his appreciation to his family, friends, sponsors, teammates—Bukola, Precious, and Ifeoluwa—as well as the NYSC zonal inspector and CDS executives for their unwavering support in ensuring the success of the project.

‎The outreach stands as a testament to the impact corps members can make through well-structured and community-focused initiatives.
