Ash Wednesday: Fatoba Seeks Divine Intervention For Nigeria

As Christians all over the world observe Ash Wednesday which kick starts the lenten period, House of Representatives member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Chairman, House committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve has sought for God’s divine intervention for Nigeria.

Fatoba in his greeting message stated that Nigeria as a country needs God’s divine intervention to overcome her current challenges. He charges Christians to use the opportunity provided by the lenten period to pray for the country’s stability and progress.

The Reps. member while welcoming Christians to another fasting period implored them to move closer to God and do away from all sinful acts.

“I welcome all Christians to another lenten period. This fasting period provides us the opportunity to reflect on our past and move closer to God.

“As Christians and Nigerians, let’s use this period to seek for God’s divine intervention for our country. As human there is less to what we can do. Nigeria as a country needs God’s intervention to overcome her challenges”

Hon. Fatoba equally wished Nigerians happy Valentine’s day and urged them to make use of the lessons learnt in celebrating the special event.

“Coincidentally, today also marks Valentine’s day which is widely celebrated. I call on everyone of us to show genuine love to one another irrespective of religion, tribe and political affiliations. Happy celebration” said Fatoba.
