A 53 years old Cripple man, Abel Igwue has relocated with his family to under bridge, Okesha street in Ado Ekiti, near Governor’s office in the state capital.
Abel who said he is from Imo state disclosed in an interview with Heritage News in Ado Ekiti that he had seek shelter under bridge in Ado Ekiti for the past two months.
Narrating his ordeal Mr Igwue said he was formerly managing a farm for someone at igbara Odo Ekiti despite his condition since he relocated from Imo State to Ekiti some years ago.
He said that his financial condition became worse since 2003 when the man he was managing his farm died.
Abel who siad that he was a shoemaker before he came to Ekiti state said all efforts to ensure both hands meets had been difficult because of his inability to walk and he could not practice his shoemaking business because of lack of working tools and capital.
Igwue however appealed to government and individuals to come to his rescue added that two out of his five children died owing to inability to cater for them.
He disclosed that he had been under the bridge for the past two months begging with his family in a bid to feed, saying he is fed up of the kind of life he is currently living.
He appealed to government and well meaning Nigerians especially Imo sons and daughters who are residents in Ekiti to come to his rescue.
