Fayemi Mourns Death of Capt. Ajayi

Heritagenewsng reports that the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has expressed condolences over the death of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in the State, Capt. Tunde Ajayi (rtd), who passed on few days ago, aged 80 years.

Governor Fayemi in a condolence message, described Capt Ajayi, as a former Chief Security Officer of the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, as an embodiment of the best Ekiti values of honesty, courage, unassuming and hard-work.

The Governor described the death of Capt Ajayi as a personal and monumental loss to him and the ruling APC, adding that he was a party elder who used every opportunity at his disposal to advance the cause of the party in the State.

He noted that the late Ajayi was a selfless leader who provided qualitative leadership in various capacities he served either as as military officer in his youthful days and as a party and community leader.

 

Dr Fayemi said Ajayi would be sorely missed for his large-heartedness, vivacious spirit, loyalty and simplicity, adding that his death was more painful because he died at a time one of his children was preparing for wedding.

“Capt Ajayi was an embodiment of the best Ekiti values. He was honest, courageous, unassuming, simple and hard working. He was a selfless leader who provided leadership to serve his nation in his youth as a Soldier.

“On behalf of my wife, the government and the good people of Ekiti state, I like to express my deep condolences to the wife, the children and the entire people of Ise-Ekiti who have lost a loving husband, father and elder statesman in him”, the Governor added.
