… Deputy Gov, Speaker Emphasize Need For Good Behaviour Among Children

 

The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has called on parents to train their children in the right path that would enable them become good ambassadors of the state and their different homes.

The First Lady, who played host to Ekiti children at the 2022 edition of the Children’s End of the Year and Christmas Party, in Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday urged parents to inculcate in their children discipline and good manners that would prepare them well for a brighter future.

She charged the children to be obedient to their parents, teachers and elders in the community, discribing their act of obedence as an appreciation for parental love and care they are enjoying.

The Governor’s wife admonished the children to concentrate on their studies and make it their first priority, noting that they are the future leaders and needed good and sound education to become good ambassador of the state.

In her own remark, the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye, who was also at the event congratulated the children on this year’s Christmas celebration as she urged them to be of good behaviour during and after the season.

Speaking on behalf of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Bunmi Adelugba, Hon. Fawekun Babatunde who represented the Speaker, advised the children to always be of good behaviour and shun every form of social vices that could destroy their future.

The event which featured Chorography, dancing competition and talent hunt, left in the children a memory of fulfilment.

Some of the children and parents who spoke with newsmen appreciated the Governor’s wife for the kind gesture, and prayed that God would give the Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji a successful tenure.
