Olanipekun SAN should Honourably Accept Ekiti Legislative Stands
I really do not understand what our distinguish SAN Olanipekun is saying as per the legality or illegality of what has transpired in the scenario of what I now call ‘ Oyibo to se pencil lo se eraser ‘.
A lot of his observations are lofty but to now say Adelugba our new speaker is there .He is veering unto moral grounds and not law per se .
It was the same people the very same people that made him speaker that impeached him.
Is our learned SAN implying that they cannot turn around and impeach their speaker? Of course they can if for example they felt a measure of deception was involved in them voting for him in the first case or if they felt it could be a potential disruption to the smooth running in the state.
Our SAN should also know that Aribisogan have done samething to Fayose in 2015 when he was in the 5th Assembly. He plot with the late Senator Buruji Kashamu from Ogun State who was a sworn Fayose enemy to get other members of the house of assembly to impeach Fayose.
Aribisogan was suspended from the house for over two years,he was barred from entering the house of assembly. Aribisogan immediately joined the APC and was given a return ticket by Dr KAYODE FAYEMI even amidst protest from his Constituency. Fayemi paid him millions of naira denied him by Fayose.
Aribisogan desperation to become speaker made him very fetish to do anything to to distabilized the long time peace been enjoyed in Ekiti State House Of Assembly.
The simple political permutations of North, South and Central as canvases by party leaders favors Adelugba.
There is no illegality as per the impeachment and subsequent new speaker.
At best it can be moral issues and that we should now leave to the concience of the rest of the assembly members .
Aribisogan latest fail coup at the floor of the house of assembly had really exposed him to world as Leopard that cannot Change its spot.
Our SAN should please wait until the internal issues in the house of assembly is transfer to the court of Law for Interpretation..
