AVehicle Inspection Officer (name withheld) has been hospitalised today in Ado, the Ekiti State capital after he was crushed by a reckless driver.
According to the Patrol Commandant, Ekiti State VIO, Ade Ajayi Adewale the suspect hit the Officer when he was stopped to present the particulars of his Volkswagen Vehicle.
Ade Ajayi added that the suspect has been apprehended and handed over to the Police because the victim for necessary prosecution.
He noted that the victim is currently in a critical condition.
He thereby advised Motorists to shun reckless driving, make their papers available whenever they are on the road and stop when being stopped for checking by any law enforcement agents.
“My advice to the Motorists is to shun reckless driving, make sure you get your papers available because these are the things that can cause issues.”
