The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has received a major legal boost as the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja reaffirmed the party’s authority to determine and present its governorship candidate, effectively strengthening its internal decision-making process.
Riding on the momentum of the judgment, the campaign organisation of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji officially flagged off its re-election activities with a press conference held at the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday.
Addressing journalists, the Director General of the campaign organisation, Cyril Fasuyi, described the court ruling as decisive, noting that it had rendered all pending legal challenges against the governor’s candidacy ineffective.
He said the campaign would be driven by facts and performance, with a strong emphasis on showcasing the administration’s achievements across key sectors. According to him, Governor Oyebanji—widely referred to as “Mr. Progress”—has delivered measurable results in security, economic development, education, and agriculture.

In his contribution, Babafemi Ojudu commended the prevailing peace in the state, attributing it to Governor Oyebanji’s proactive leadership style.
