The 3-day Senatorial Central tour of the All Progressives Congress(APC) came to an end on Wednesday with impressive turn up of party members in all the local governments and LCDAs visited by the Senatorial Central campaign committee led by the Special Adviser to Ekiti state Governor on political matters, High Chief Jide Awe.
The local governments and LCDAs were toured included irepodun/ ifelodun local government, Araromi LCDA,
ifedera LCDA, and Ado-Ekiti local government.
The campaign team and all the APC State House of Assembly and National Assembly candidates were given a rousing welcome in all the local governments visited.
The spokesperson of the candidates and also a Senatorial candidate for Ekiti Central Senatorial district, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele canvassed support for the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed. He urged party members to put more efforts in mobilizing votes for Asiwaju.
Bamidele added that Nigeria at this particular time need someone like Asiwaju who has been tested and trusted.
“As we approach February 25 Presidential election, I want to plead to our party members and leaders to give our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu all the necessary support. Put more efforts in your mobilization drive for Asiwaju’s victory.
“Nigeria at this particular time needs a person like Asiwaju and I want to assure you that if he becomes president, what needed to be done to move this country forward, will be done”
Earlier, the S.A on political matters to the state govenor, High Chief Jide Awe urged party members to work for the victory of all the candidates of the party. He sued for peace, love and unity among party leaders and members.
Notable party leaders which included the Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr(Mrs) Habibat Omolara Adubiaro, the former Deputy governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, Rt. Hon. Dapo Karounwi, all the NASS and Assembly candidates and other APC party stakeholders from the Central Senatorial District participated in the Senatorial Central tour.
