Gov. Oyebanji Reiterates Commitment to Infrastructural Development and Environmental Sustainability

The Governor of Ekiti State,Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to infrastructural development and environmental sustainability.

The governor made this known during the commissioning of 500KVA transformers, Sino trucks, and Dino bins at Osuntokun Pavilion, Government House, Ado-Ekiti, on Wednesday.

Governor Oyebanji who was represented by the secretary to Ekiti State Government Dr Habibat Adubiaro emphasized that the event underscored his administration’s commitment to developing essential infrastructure that caters to the needs of the people. He noted that the newly commissioned transformers would improve the capacity of the power distribution network, ensuring a more stable and reliable power supply to local communities.

“It gives me great pleasure to be here today as we mark another milestone in our collective journey toward improving the quality of life for the people of Ekiti State,” the governor stated. “The commissioning of these transformers and Dino bins highlights the unwavering commitment of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji-led administration to developing critical infrastructure that addresses the needs of the people.”

In addition to the focus on infrastructure, Gov. Oyebanji stressed the importance of environmental sustainability. He described the introduction of the Dino bins as an integral part of the administration’s broader vision for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Ekiti State.

“Regarding environmental sustainability, the commissioning of these Dino bins is a crucial step toward achieving our vision for a cleaner and healthier state,” the governor added.

Gov. Oyebanji further urged communities and individuals to collaborate with the government by maintaining and protecting the newly provided resources.

Earlier in the event, the Commissioner for Infrastructure and Public Utility, Professor Mobolaji Aluko, called on communities to make judicious use of the transformers and Dino bins, noting the significant investment made by the government for their procurement.

The commissioning ceremony, part of the activities marking the second anniversary of Governor Oyebanji’s administration, was well attended by state officials, including , the Head of Service, Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Chief (Mrs.) Tosin Ajisafe Aluko, and the Director-General of Ekiti State Waste Management Authority, Hon. Sunkanmi Onipede. Representatives from various communities and members of the Ewi-in-Council were also present.
