Erelu Elebute-Halle Bags Another Chieftaincy Title, Distributes Foods, Cash

It was an atmosphere of glitz and glamour as the first female governorship candidate in the history of Ekiti State, Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle was bestowed with another chieftaincy title.

His Royal Highness, Oba Olufemi Aribisala, the Alaaye of Oke-Ayedun Ekiti conferred her with the honorary chieftaincy title of Erelu Bobaseye of Oke-Ayedun at the 38th Oke-Ayedun Day 2024.

Also, her husband, Otunba Haim Halle also bagged the chieftaincy title of Aare Bobaseye of Oke-Ayedun at the auspicious occasion at Oke-Ayedun City Hall.

Speaking at the event, the Alaaye of Oke Ayedun, Oba Olufemi Aribisala said the chieftaincy titles were installed on Erelu Kemi Elebute Halle due to their contributions to community and human development.

In her response, Erelu Elebute-Halle thanked the monarch for deeming it fit to conferred the title on her while pledging to continue to work for the development of the community.

According to her; “We are proud to have you, you have brought a lot of development to Oke-Ayedun Kingdom. You have outstandingly achieved what our great grandfathers were not able to achieve, we are proud of us for being a pioneer of development in our community.

“I want to use this opportunity to appreciate the Governor of our state and his family, Biodun Abayomi.

“When I discussed this title with him, looking at the projects, community developments, politics that I am into and he told me that there’s no title I can attain that will be more than that of my Town.

“I will not take this title for granted, I will do everything within my capacity to bring in more developmental projects to Oke-Ayedun Ekiti.”

Also, Erelu Elebute-Halle magnanimously donated free food items to residents of Oke-Ayedun including rice, garri, salt, among others.

The Chairman of the occasion and Senior Adviser to Governor Oyebanji on Political and Inter Party Affairs, Chief Jide Awe reiterated the commitment of the State government to the development of the community and congratulated the newly chiefs.

Highlights of the occasion which was attended by senator Biodun Olujimi, Commissioner for Environment, Erelu Tosin Ajisafe-Aluko, traditional rulers and other who is who in the society featured admission of new Egbe Omo Ilu, Egbe Alajodun 2024, Ebi Alajodun 2024, award of Omo Ayiye of Oke-Ayedun, Pa Joseph Onipede’s scholarship awards among others
