Ekiti state government under the able leadership of His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji has reiterated its commitment to tourism development.

This was made known by the Secretary to the State Government(SSG), Dr. Habibat Adubiaro during a courtesy visit to her office by members of National Association of Nigeria Travel Agency(NANTA), Ekiti state chapter on Tuesday.
Mrs Adubiaro in her remark noted that the development of tourism is one of the six- point agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji which has clearly shown his love for the industry. She pointed out that the governor upon his assumption of office has taken step to develop tourism in Ekiti by rejuvenating Ikogosi warm spring and making it more befitting and attractive to tourists who might be interested in visiting the place.
“What His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji loves most is tourism. Within the shortest time of assuming office as governor he has taken some steps to develop tourism in our dear state.
“Take for example, the Ikogosi Warm Spring has now worn a new look with the effort of the state govenor. The place has been developed better than before. This is clear enough to tell you that governor Oyebanji’s administration is committed to tourism development in Ekiti state”

The SSG assured the Travel Agency Association of government readiness to partner with them in promoting and developing tourism in Ekiti state and also provide them with all the necessary support to flush out fake travel agents from the state.
“I want to assure you that the state government is ready to partner with you to develop tourism and also give you all the necessary support to get rid of fake travel agents from the state”
Earlier, the state coordinator of NANTA, Mr Yusuf Sikiru in his brief remark said the association is ready to work with the state government to develop tourism. He also sought for the support of the state government to get rid of fake travel agents from the Ekiti state.
