Ekiti Will Organise Sax Night to Discover Talent For Tourism Promotion- Ojo Lanre
The Director-General, Bureau of Tourism Development in Ekiti State, Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre has said that the State Government will soon organize a Sax Night in a bid to discover talents for the promotion of tourism potentials in the state.
Ojo- Lanre made the declaration when he played host to a 16 year old Saxophonist, Precious Sodeinde who paid him a courtesy visit during the weekend to appreciate Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Wife of the former Governor Erelu Bisi Fayemi and others who contributed surreptitiously to her wellbeing.
Thereafter, Precious Sodeinde played a number of anthems on her sax dedicated to Mr. Governor to the delight of the people seated audience.
Ambassador Ojo Lanre who was visibly moved to tears as the young lady narrated her ordeal when she went blind thanked God on her behalf and also praised her parents for not abandoning her when she needed them most.
He revealed that talents like Miss Precious Sodeinde is a valuable asset to the state which should be protected and invested upon.
Ambassador Ojo-Lanre maintained that Miss Precious Sodeinde will also be called upon to display her talent at some of the shows and events in the state.
“This is what this Government is all about, kindness and favourable policies. Discovering of talents and helping them achieve their goals in life.
He declares that the Government of Governor Biodun Oyebanji is ready to do more in areas of talent discovery to further project Ekiti State on the world map.
“We will continue to support Miss Sodeinde and many others like her in displaying their talent.
”Our major focus here Is to be promoting anything that will add value to Ekiti state. Our work is to encourage and promote anything that will showcase our heritage, our tourism potentials in Ekiti.
“All we are doing is to encourage and collaborate with whoever and what will attract investors to Ekiti through tourism.
“So, We love you , we commend you, You are doing well and we are proud of you, we will work with you and we will collaborate with you”.Ojo Lanre added.
The Executive Secretary, Bureau of Tourism development, Mrs. Bola Owoeye congratulated Miss Sodeinde and assured her of the state tourism bureau’s supports and collaboration.
Others who were at the meeting included, Director, Bureau of Tourism Development, Mr. Ogunsola Femi, the Press Officer of the bureau, Mr Samuel Olabanji and Peculiar Michael.
