Ekiti Commissioner, Adeola Empowers Aged APC Party members

_….Promises more dividend of democracy_

The Honourable Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment in Ekiti state, Mrs Omotayo Adeola empowered some aged party members of All Progressive Congress (APC) in her political home, ward eleven on Thursday.

Mrs Adeola in her remarks before the distribution of cash to the beneficiaries said the empowerment programme is mainly for the aged ones who have sacrificed their time for the progress of the party. She stated that what she is giving out is a token which is borne out of her desire to give back to the people in appreciation of their support for the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

The Commissioner pleaded that the party elders should should take what will be given to them with love for there are alot of opportunities coming on the way for them to benefit.

“It is a great pleasure to be in the midst of my fathers and mothers this evening. We thank God for making today a reality. I am here to give out cash empowerment to our aged ones in appreciation of their selfless sacrifice towards the progress our party.

“The token I will be given out is small but manage it. There are alot of opportunities coming on the way for our party members. You have all laboured for the success of the party and the time has come for you to reap from your labour”

The Ado-Ekiti born Commissioner remarked further by calling on party members to support the Governor Oyebanji with their prayers for him to succeed in office.

“Our Governor and leader is committed to making life at ease for everybody. What he needs from us is prayer. At our various homes, let’s make it a duty to pray for the success of this administration. For in its success we shall all benefit” said the Commissioner.

The Ward Chairman, Mr Adegoke Oba commended the Commissioner for giving back to party members especially the elderly ones. He urged her not to relent and prayed for her success in office.

“What our Commissioner has done is highly commendable. It shows that she keeps us in mind. My prayer is that God Almighty will continue to uplight her”

Also one of the beneficiaries, Baba Omolade on behalf of the elders who were given financial empowerment thanked the Commissioner for the kind gestures. He prayed for her success in office.
