Ekiti 2022: Fayemi Calls For Unity Of Purpose Among APC Party Members

…Says no aspirant endorsed by him

The Executive Governor of Ekiti state, His Excellency, Dr John Kayode Fayemi has called for unity of purpose among APC party members ahead of 2022 governorship election in the state.

He said this during a Christmas get together he had with APC party ward executives at his country home, Isan-Ekiti on December 26, 2021 in attendance of political appointees, party leaders and other party stakeholders.

The governor made it known that the task of winning the upcoming governorship election rest on the shoulders of party ward executives and leaders.

He stated further that 2022 is very crucial for the party to win because it would be the major determinant for other elections in the state.

The governor used the opportunity offered by the interface to debunk the rumour going round that he has endorsed a certain aspirant.

He made it clear before party members and leaders present that all aspirants are capable and free to solicit for support from party delegates ahead of
the upcoming APC governorship primary slated to hold on January 22.

He warned against aspirants hold meetings with party executives at their private residence for such meeting according to the governor can be held at the ward or local government party secretariat.

Governor Fayemi added that his administration has tried in area of appointment for party members.

Also speaking at the gathering, the APC state party chairman, Barrister Paul Omotosho called on party members to go their various wards and work for the party victory ahead of the upcoming governorship election in the state.

The party scribe stated further that there is nothing pleasurable than for the continuity of APC led government in Ekiti state.

He added that anybody that wanted to reap from the goodness of the party must use one mind to work for the party’s progress.

Barrister Paul Omotosho also made it clear that the governor has not endorsed any aspirant.

Also speaking in the same vein, the state P.R.O of APC in Ekiti, Mr Segun Dipe said no aspirant has been endorsed by the governor.

He added that all aspirants would be given a level playing field at the primary election.

Also in attendance at the get together are the wife of the governor, Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, the deputy governor, His Excellency, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, the former SSG of Ekiti and APC governorship aspirant, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Abiodun Omoleye, MHR Yemi Adaramodu representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency, S.A to the Governor on Political matters, Mr David Olusoga, Commissioner for Special duties, Alhaji Jinadu Ayodele and other important dignitaries.
