Chief Okebiorun Appreciates Elebute Halle, TKO, ICIOS, EBHSOSA, Others During Mother’s Burial

Chief Sola Okebiorun has expressed heartfelt appreciation to eminent personalities, monarchs, groups, and well-wishers who supported him during the burial of his mother, the late Madam Lydia Bosede Okebiorun, describing their contributions as instrumental to the success of the ceremony.

Chief Okebiorun’s mother, who passed on at the remarkable age of 110, was laid to rest in a ceremony marked by pomp, tributes, and a celebration of a life widely regarded as fulfilled and impactful.

Reflecting on the event, Chief Okebiorun described the burial as more than a solemn occasion, but a moment of gratitude for a long and meaningful life.

“This was not just a burial for me; it was a celebration of a life well spent. I am grateful to God for granting my mother such longevity and grace,” he said.

He noted that the overwhelming show of love and solidarity left a lasting impression on him.

“The outpouring of support I received was truly humbling. People came from far and near to stand with me, and I do not take this love for granted,” he added.

Chief Okebiorun paid special tribute to Chief (Dr.) Kemisola Elebute Halle and her husband, Engineer Halle, for their unwavering support before and during the burial.

“Chief (Dr.) Elebute Halle and her husband stood solidly by me. Their presence, encouragement, and active participation meant so much to me,” he said.

He also acknowledged the presence and contributions of notable personalities, including High Chief Tope Aluko (TKO), Rt. Hon. Adebayo Morakinyo, leaders of socio-cultural and spiritual bodies such asInternational Congress of Ifa and Orisa Spirituality ICIOS, EBHSOSA, Pa Oludele Moronkeji, and he specifically appeared Chief Ifelola Oyebade President of EBHSOSA.

“I am deeply grateful to all distinguished guests and organisations like EBHSOSA and ICIOS for honouring my mother and celebrating her legacy with me,” he noted.

Chief Okebiorun further extended appreciation to traditional rulers who honoured the occasion, notably Oba Olarewaju, the Asaba of Ikole Kingdom, Kabiyesi Temidire Ayeni, the Alayeni of Iperindo in Osun State, alongside other royal fathers.

“The presence of our royal fathers added great honour to the occasion. I sincerely appreciate their support and fatherly role,” he said.

He also commended institutions and organisations, including officials of the Ministry of Animal Husbandry, the Ministry of Forestry and Livestock, security agencies, religious bodies, social clubs, and community associations, for their roles in ensuring a successful burial.Overwhelmed by the massive turnout, Chief Okebiorun said it would be difficult to mention everyone who contributed.

“It is practically impossible for me to mention everyone who contributed. The support I received—financially, morally, and physically was overwhelming, and I remain sincerely grateful,” he said.

He concluded with prayers for all who stood by him.

“My prayer is that God will reward everyone who supported me and bless you abundantly. I will continue to cherish the memory and legacy my mother left behind,” he added.
