Ban Night Class In Tertiary Institutions, It Is Harbinger of Evil–Famoroti
Ace Broadcaster, Evang. Bayo Famoroti, has called for the prohibition of night class in tertiary institutions in Nigeria by relevant authorizes in order to stem criminal activities in them.
He made the call in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti in the wake of the suspected killing of a student of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE).
Evangelist Famoroti said that experience has shown that a lot of evil deeds are being perpetrated by those attending night class, pointing out that it promote a veritable recruitment ground by secret cults on campus.
According to him, night class are particularly hazardous for female students who are always subjected to abuse, while others are actively engaged in substance abuse.
The ace broadcaster pointed out that apart from this, a lot of criminal activities take place at night on the campus which always task the capacity of campus security outfit and that night class puts more pressure on security.
He said most participants in night class do untoward things rather than study during the period and that this development is not healthy for the institutions.
He expressed the belief that the abolition of night class will go a long way to curb the incident of crimes on campus as no student will have any excuse for being outside during night period.
“If this measure is adopted and enforced, I believe that there will be a reduction in the killings, cult activities and other crimes on campus” he said.
