Alleged Domestic Violence: Falade Volunteers To Support FIDA, NWC, Others To Ensure Justice (Osinachi)

A member  of National Executive Council of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), representing Ado-Ekiti branch and rights activist, Olakanmi Samuel Falade, has called on Federation of Women Lawyers, (FIDA), National Women Council (NWC) and other women rights’ groups to rise up and unravel the circumstances surrounding Osinachi Nwachukwu death and ensure justice.

Falade who not only called for justice, also volunteered himself in any legal capacity to ensure that justice is done in the case of late Osinachi, saying “we must rise up now and do something urgently on her case and also do something to address situation of many other women suffering in silence under plague of Domestic violence”.

The NBA EXCO member reaction is coming aftermath of the viral insinuation that the popular talented gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu died of domestic violence in the hands of her husband.

Falade who described Osinachi’s death as very painful and unfortunate, as her death was allegedly traced to her own husband who abused, persistent beaten and maltreated her until he reportedly kicked her in the chest that later led to her untimely death.

The lawyer said; “though she is dead now but, we can not just fold our arms and allow her to just die like that in view of the circumstances and insinuation surrounding her death from a prolonged domestic violence.

“Her death is so painful and unfortunate and I want the FIDA,  and other women rights’ groups to rise up to action and unravel the true cause of her death.

“I am volunteering myself for any legal assistance towards unraveling the real cause of her death and also to ensure justice, in other to serve as deterrence to other abusers of women out there.

“Time to save women from untimely death occasioned by domestic violence, time to rise for women’s justice, time to use Osinachi’s matter as a case study to touchlight issues that are in the dark, unaddressed and that keep thriving in an unhealthy culture of silence”. Falade added.
