The House of Representatives member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve has congratulated the Executive Governor of Ekiti state, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his victory at the Federal High court, Abuja over the case filed by one Mrs Olajumoke Abimbola challenging his emergence as the APC governorship flagbearer for the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti state.
The Federal High court in its judgment struck out the case filed by Abimbola on the ground that only a political party can determine the eligibility of a candidate and for failing to file her case within the time frame stipulated by the law.
The lawmaker in a statement through his media unit in Ado-Ekiti said the judgement was an affirmation that the Governor emerged as the candidate of the party through a credible process.
He noted that the governor’s victory at the Federal High was a victory for democracy, advising members of the party especially those who are still aggrieved to sheath their sword for peace to reign and for the progress of the party.
Hon Fatoba described Governor Oyebanji as the best hand to take the State to an enviable level, calling on Ekiti people to come out enmass to vote for the governor come June 20.
