Ekiti State Hosts Iftar for Muslim Faithful

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, has welcomed Muslim faithful to the Iftar organized by Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the Muslim community in Ekiti State.

Speaking at the event, held at the Jibowu Government House in Ado-Ekiti, Prof. Adubiaro described Governor Oyebanji as a leader who embraces inclusivity and does not discriminate in his dealings.

She urged all Muslims present to continue praying for the success of the administration, expressing hope that Governor Oyebanji’s good works would endure beyond his tenure and extend to 2030.

In his remarks, Dr. Hammed Bakare praised the governor’s commitment to supporting the Muslim community, noting that the appointments given to Muslims reflect fairness and impartiality in the administration’s approach to governance.

Similarly, Rt. Hon. Hakeem Jamiu, a member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, commended Governor Oyebanji for his generosity during the Lenten season. He noted that every mosque in the state had benefitted from the governor’s kind gestures, further showcasing his commitment to unity and harmony among all faiths.

The Iftar event served as an opportunity for the state government to strengthen its relationship with the Muslim community and reaffirm its dedication to religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence in Ekiti State.
