Reps, Fatoba Hails Establishment of Federal Varsity in Iyin-Ekiti
A Member of House of Representatives representing Ekiti Central Constituency I, Rt. Hon. Fatoba Olusola steve has hailed the establishment of Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin-Ekiti, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
This was contained in a statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists on Friday in Ado-Ekiti.
Fatoba described the establishment of the University as a testament of President Bola Tinubu’s efforts in making sure that all average Nigerians have access to quality and functional education.
He also hailed the senate leader, Opeyemi Bamidele for sponsoring the bill way back in 2023 before the President gave assent to it.
He also congratulated the Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti, Oba Deola Ajakaiye for experiencing such great achievement in his lifetime, adding that the University would be a sigh of relief for indigent students and also boost the economy of the town.
The statement reads, “The establishment of Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin-Ekiti, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state is a great milestone that would be remembered till infinity.
“This is one of the signs that our dear President, Bola Tinubu cherish Ekiti People in making sure that all children have access to quality and functional education.
“I want to use this opportunity to appreciate my leader, the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, for sponsoring the bill; the people of Iyin will always remember you for good.
“To my Kabiyesi, the Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti, Oba Deola Ajakaiye, this is the time we have been waiting for and I’m happy it happens in your lifetime.
“This University will not only serve as sigh of relief for our students in Iyin but will also boost and bolster the economy of the town.
“Congratulations to you all once again”.
