CAN Chairman Preaches Peaceful Co-existence Among Christians, Muslims

The Ekiti State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) who doubles as State Chairman of Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, His Eminence Rev’d Dr Emmanuel Aribasoye has preached peaceful co-existence relationships among Christian and Muslim Societies in the state and Nigeria at large.

Rev’d Dr Aribasoye who stated this during the usual monthly Elders at the Gate Prayer Forum themed ‘A New Dawn’ held today at the state government house chapel Ado Ekiti, maintained that appropriate circular would be released after in-depth deliberations among Christian and Muslim elders in the southwest on the recent controversies about the Sharia Arbitrary Panel, saying that the issue was a sensitive one, so as to avoid disruption of the state’s relative peace.

Meanwhile, Rev’d Dr Aribasoye assured that God has intervened in Ekiti State as people have chosen joy, peace, progress and unity in praying for the State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, his household and cabinet members.

While speaking, the State Deputy Chairman of CAN, Pastor Joseph Olubusoye said Christian Elders shall continue to intercede in prayer for the state Governor’s administration, for the spiritual growth of the state.

In his sermon, Primate Dr Olorunleke Abe preached that people should forget about things of the past and focus on God for He shall make things new for them.

Also speaking, one of the prayer band members of the association, Pastor Olufidipe Faith urged that the state citizens should always pray for the state Governor’s administration.
