Ekiti SUBEB Chairman Receives Leadership Resilience Award: Dedicates it to EKSG

The Executive Chairman of Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Femi Akinwumi has received an award of Leadership Resilience by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The award was given in recognition of his outstanding leadership role in the operation of Smart School in Nigeria, particularly in Ekiti State.

Prof. Akinwumi while reacting to the award said that the award is dedicated to the State Government under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the people of Ekiti State and management and staff of SUBEB who have made his work easier through their hard work and commitment to their duties.

He commended the Governor for the commencement of academic activities in the Smart School at Ijan Ekiti and the provision of several e-learning equipments and facilities to ensure smooth take-off.

The Chairman also used the opportunity to appreciate the former Governor; Dr. Kayode Fayemi for facilitating the process for which the Smart School was brought to Ekiti.

He added that since its inception, the teachers in the school have been providing digital proficiency studies for the pupils to be in tune with modern technology in the world, in order to make them relevant in the global space.

Prof. Akinwumi appreciated KOICA for deeming him worthy to be a recipient of the prestigious award, promising that it will spur him for greater performance in basic education.
