…Calls on security agencies to intensify more efforts in arresting perpetrators
The House of Representatives member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Chairman, House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve has condemned in strong term the gruesome killings of two traditional rulers, the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Samuel Olusola and Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsola at Oke-Ako in Ikole-Ekiti local government and abduction of school pupils and teachers of a private school in Emure-Ekiti.
Fatoba in a statement described the incidents as worrisome and unfortunate. He called on the security agencies in the state to intensify more efforts in bringing the perpetrators of the dastardly act into book.
The House Committee Chairman commiserated with the families of the departed monarchs and residents of the communities. He also prayed for the quick freedom of the abducted students.
“I condemn in strongest term the gruesome killings of two traditional rulers at Oke-Ako in Ikole-Ekiti local government and abduction of school pupils in Emure-Ekiti. This is sad and quite unfortunate. This is a wake up call on the government and security agencies to redouble their efforts in order to put a stop to these dastardly acts.
“I call on all the security agencies in Ekiti state to unravel those behind this evil act and bring them to book.
“My condolences to the families of the departed monarchs and also the community members.
May God Almighty grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
In the same vein, I sympathize with families of the abducted school pupils and teachers and pray for God’s divine intervention and quick freedom” said Fatoba.
